Introductory
"They say in the Eastern lands there's a living legend: An unstoppable beast in the shape of a man, a demon, a bastard who just won't stay dead. You wanna know who that is? You're looking at 'em. pal."To speak of Kuuryou Sumeragi is to invite death at your door: An infamous mercenary from the far lands of Ōyashima, he's spoken only in the hushed whispers of backalleys and the desperate few willing to sign a deal with the Scarlet Devil.Very few even know of his true identity, something he's worked hard to uphold. However, those looking for the mercenary will find a knock on their door eventually. As long as the pay is good enough, that is.
Personality
Sumeragi can be divided to two distinct beings: The consummate professional, and the boisterous beast.
Within the confines of his work, the mercenary is a relentless, no holds barred warrior: He gets the job done as efficiently and directly as he can, be it assassination, warfare, or his more... Discreet services.
Outside his job, however, Sumeragi can be best described as a lecherous idiot: He'll proudly admit to not being the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he'll be damned if that stops him from sliding his way into someone's pants for the night.
Description
The mercenary can be rather easy to stand out of a crowd, especially back home: He stands at a height of 6'6, easily towering over his fellow countrymen.Even without the height, however, Sumeragi tends to be a bit of a showoff: His standard wardrobe is the scarlet yukata of his past clan's guardsmen, modified with a few pieces of metal protection to protect his more vulnerable areas but otherwise open to reveal his chest. Alongside it is his signature piece of equipment, and the reason for his moniker: A strange gauntlet that covers the entirety of his right hand all the way up to his forearm, designs of a forgotten language intricately woven into it's foreign weaves.Anyone who manages to see the mercenary without his clothing, however, will find a rather interesting thing: On his back is an irezumi, one of a disturbingly accurate devil. Whether it be his way of signaling who he is, or a mark to signify who or what is behind his power... Nobody knows.
